Warning to Bank Managers and Divisional Commissioner

Threatening LeT posters appear in South Kashmir

A day after unidentified gunmen looted cash from a South Kashmir Bank, militant outfit LeT purportedly have threatened Bank Managers of consequences if they open up Bank branches during strike call. The LeT posters that have appeared in dozens of Kulgam villages have also threatened Deputy Commissioners of dire consequences in case they force govt employees to attend the duties.

Eyewitnesses told that LeT posters were seen pasted on electric poles, walls and shop shutters in different villages of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district including Tolinopora, Muhammadpora, Panew, Bogam, Koimoh, Kulgam market, Bogund, Katrosu, Srindu and other areas.

The posters with the seal and signature of LeT District Commander read that: “people who try to defy strike calls will not be spared. People can do their business during relaxation hours only. We warn Deputy Commissioners stop forcing employees to attend the duties and we also warn Bank Managers not to open up bank branches during strike hours, the posters allegedly belonging to LeT read
